A seriesofsilylatedCo/SBA-15catalystswerepreparedviathereactionofsurfaceSi–OHofSBA-15with hexamethyldisilazane(HMDS)underanhydrous,vapor phaseconditions,andthencharacterizedby FT-IR, N2 physisorption,TG,XRD,andTPR-MS.Theresultsshowedthatorganicmodificationledtoa silylatedSBA-15surfacecomposedofstablehydrophobicSi–(CH3)3 speciesevenaftercalcinations and H2reductionat673K.Furthermore, the hydrophobics urfaces trongly in fluenced bothmetal dispersion andreducibility.Comparedwithnon-silylatedCo/SBA, Co/S-SBA(impregnationaftersilylation)showeda high activity,due to the better cobaltreducibility on the hydrophobic support.However,S-Co/SBA
(silylationafterimpregnation had the lowest FT activity among all the catalysts, duetothe lowercobalt reducibility along with the steri chindrance of grafted–Si(CH3)3 for there-adsorptionof a-olefins. |
