Mainly eight kinds of aromatic compounds were obtained from oxidation of lignin in Cu(II)/O2 system assisted by microwave irradiation. The maximum yields of vanillin, p-hydroxybenzaldehyde, vanillicacid and syringic acid were 7.9, 11.2, 7.1, 9.2 times, respectively, as much as to that untreated. It was demonstrated that both CuO and CuSO4 were actively catalysts in alkali condition, and CuO had relatively higher catalytic effect. It was also indicated that microwave irradiation not only exhibited a higher efficiency but also increased the yields of the products in oxidation of lignin, about 1.37 times as much as that in the traditional heating. |
