摘要: Iron nanoparticles were prepared by chemical reduction in water-in-oil microemulsions. The investigation on the microemulsion compositions indicated that the size and morphology of iron nanoparticles were affected by the size and interfacial property of microemulsion droplets. The resultant particles were characterized to be mainly amorphous Fe–B alloys. Selected nanoparticles with spherical and rod-like morphologies were dispersed in polyethylene glycol (PEG) for Fischer–Tropsch synthesis (FTS) under mild conditions. The results revealed that the nanoparticles exhibited high activities and the product distribution slightly shifted to heavier hydrocarbons on the rod-like nanoparticles.
