Direct coal liquefaction (DCL) is one of the processes for the production of clean fuels from coal. Unfortunately, it also produces 25-30% residues. The using of the residues wisely is important to the overall economy of DCL process. It has been found that the residues from the coal liquefaction are good to be used as a modifier for bitumen in our laboratory[1]. The properties of modified-bitumen by different DCL residues are compared and the influence factors are discussed in this presentation. |
