摘要: |
Mercury (Hg) is a toxic trace element in coal. The utilization of coal is the primary source of anthropogenic discharge of mercury. A large source of mercury emissions to the environment comes from coal-burning power plants. During the process of coal combustion, Hg in coal emit into atmosphere, which will presents environmental and human health hazards because of its persistence, bioaccumulation and long-term contamination problems in the environment as well as serious effects on the neurological development of children. It is reported that Hg emissions from power plants are responsible for about one-third of anthropogenic emissions. The emission controls of Hg from coal-fired boilers have become a recent concern for the scientists and the extensive studies on removing of Hg from flue gas have been carried out [1-8]. It is beneficial to remove Hg before combustion [9-11]. This study aimed to investigate the dynamic behavior of elemental Hg release of coals in different ranks during temperature programmed decomposition with online atomic fluorescence spectrometer (TPD-AFS) in order to search for the common character of Hg release for the coals as well as the possible modes of occurrence of Hg existed in coals. |
