Direct coal liquefaction residue (DCLR) contains valuable heavy coal liquids which are proved to be important precursors for preparing high value-added carbon materials. It is not convenient and not economical to use organic solvents extracting the heavy coal liquids from DCLR in the practical view (toxicity, volatility, economical efficiency). Subcritical water (SBCW) with special physico-chemical characteristics have been widely used as green solvents. SBCW was tested for potential use as extraction solvent for heavy coal liquids in DCLR. |
